We grow 1.5 acres of produce using organic, small-scale farming methods. We use farm-made compost and organic fertilizers for fertility. We employ crop rotation, cover cropping, and low water use irrigation systems. Only (and very rarely) OMRI approved pesticides are used to combat serious pest outbreaks, but we prefer to take proactive measures for pest control including using floating row covers, encouraging beneficial predators, and planting in season. Since we only sell locally, we are able to harvest one or two days before market for peak of ripeness flavor.
